This last year, IMHCA has been learning a lot during the Idaho Licensing Board of Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists (IBOL) open board meetings in regards to boundary concerns counselors may run into while practicing such as going for a walk during session. As a result, IMHCA’s ethics course this year will be covering these areas in order to better inform our counseling community on current boundary issues and concerns.  The purpose of this workshop is to encourage participants to consider both the benefits and restrictions of boundaries in the counseling relationship. This workshop will examine boundary crossings which are defined differently than boundary violations.
